    Light
    The Caulerpa Racemosa Cylindracea macroalgae species loves the light, as the more you provide as fast it will grow.

    Palatable
    Herbivore fishes are sometimes interested in the roots of this marine algae but often don't show  much interest in the algae structure by itself.

    Attaching
    The Caulerpa Racemosa  marine algae will attach itself to rock etc. easily.  We recommend therefore not to place this marine algae too close to your main rock, unlike you like to have it there. This macroalgae species will need some trimming and attention as it is fast growing. It is as well a perfect macroalgae for the refugium for the nutrients export. 

    Caulerpa Case
    Some Caulerpa macroalgae species might go sexual, which means that it releases gametes and tissue into the aquarium water.
    Caulerpa Racemosa Cylindracea  is one of the Caulerpa algae species which can be a bit sensitive, especially when water parameters change too fast or Nutrients are low, especially Nitrate and Phosphate. In case that those macroalgae will lose its strong structure and turns mushy we recommend to remove those parts,

    Trimming
    Whitish and mushy parts of the Caulerpa Racemosa macroalgae should be removed as they are decomposing.

    Treatment
    Like for most marine macroalgae a higher level of Nitrate and Phosphate, in addition to the supplement of Iron, Magnesium and Trace elements will improve the growth of this live algae.

    If the macroalgae is not growing as expected a special formulated fertiliser for the marine aquarium can help to improve the growth of the macroalgae. Please find a selection of supplements for the marine aquarium HERE  

    Placement
    This macroalgae can be either placed in the Refugium or in the marine Display Tank where it would need an enclosed space to avoid it overgrowing the reef tank.

    Our macroalgae are from fish free macro algae tanks, although we use pictures for demonstration purposes only which will include fishes, seahorses and or corals. 
    We do our best to quarantine, treat and remove any unwanted hitchhikers, parasites etc from our macro algae but we can not guarantee that the algae are completely free of anything unwanted, not limited to Copepods, Rotifers etc. This is simply because that sometimes eggs, spores, etc can remain viable but not visible and hitchhikers can still stay hidden, especially in dense algae structures, despite our strict quarantine efforts. 

    All macro algae will be thoroughly dipped in a professional solution to deactivate hitchhikers as good as possible before posting. If you don't want this, please send us a message together with your order.

    We highly recommend nonetheless that you properly quarantine anything new before adding it to your marine tank.
